Mission
To help mature adults gain an indepth view of the past, present and future of Bryan/College Station by taking them into the community, introducing them to the people wo make it work and encouraging them to get involved!
Objectives of Senior Leadership Brazos
- To provide an overview of current issues and the vast resources and opportunities available in our community
- Acquaint participants with the area's assests, needs and opportunities
- Provide a forum to discuss community challenges with representatives from the industry, government and human services
- To receive information about the interaction between our community entities
- To develop and empower mature adults to assume new leadership roles which contribute to the well being of the community
How the Program Works
The program begins in September with an introduction reception followed by 8 weekly sessions held on Thursdays from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at a wide varities of locations. (The Emergency Services day is from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) Through quality speakers, panel discussions and on-site tours, each participant is able to better understand our community. Speakers will include political figures, agency/organization directors, civic leaders and other experts from the area
How to Register
The Senior Leadership Brazos program is a non-profit program sponsored by the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce. Tuition is $80 and includes materials, facilities, parking and breaks. Participation is limited.
